Resident Evil Requiem has exactly two endings, and both are decided by one final choice in the ARK:
- Release Elpis (password: HOPE) — the true "Hope" ending: Leon is cured, Emily is cured and adopted by Grace.
- Destroy Elpis (wrong password) — the alternate "Destruction" ending: Leon dies, Emily is left in her cocoon.
How Endings Work
Nothing earlier in the game branches the ending. Emily's injury during the helicopter crash is a scripted story beat, not a consequence of your choices. The only decision that matters is the final one at the ARK central console, where you choose to release or destroy Elpis — Oswell E. Spencer's antiviral cure.

Elpis — Oswell Spencer's antiviral cure — is released. Leon is cured of his T-virus strain, kills the mutated Victor Gideon, Emily is cured and adopted by Grace, and the Raccoon City Syndrome victims are cured.
Destruction Ending (Alternate)
At the ARK central console, choose DESTROY Elpis (deliberately enter a wrong password).
The ARK is destroyed. Leon dies at Zeno's hands, and Emily is left trapped in her cocoon.
How to See Both Endings
Save the game before Leon takes the elevator to B4 of the Bioweapon Depot. After watching your first ending, reload that save and make the other choice — no second full playthrough needed. (The "Speed Demon" trophy asks for the release-Elpis ending in under 4 hours if you're chasing the platinum.)
